Shuttle fare: $20 - The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority, better known as MARTA. Its rail line runs north-south and east west through the city, and a number of bus lines cover other areas of the city. The Marta rail line has a station at the west end of the Atlanta airport. For $1.75 you can ride to Downtown, Mid-town, Buckhead, or the Perimeter Mall area. It takes less than 30 minutes to get to Perimeter Mall. During rush hour, it could easily take over an hour in a taxi or car.
MARTA runs right into the airport terminal. It takes less than 30 minutes to get to the downtown hotels. If you are only going to be downtown, save time and money. Take MARTA rather than a taxi or renting a car.
